The "E-Digital" button is used to program the E985-R Lever Lock.

In fact, pressing this button on any Lockey E-Digital Series Lock will initiate programming mode. In this mode, users can clear errors, program functions, and add/change/delete user codes. The "E-Digital" button also operates as a lock button.

The default user code for the E985-R (and other E-Digital locks) is "1234". Lockey recommends that be changed before the lock is even installed.

To program a User Code...
Enter the programming code, "E-Digital", (1), "E-Digital". Now you can enter your new user code. It can be any sequence of numbers, 4-10 digits in length. Press "E-Digital" when you're finished.

To erase the default "1234" user code...
Enter the programming code, "E-Digital", (2), "E-Digital", enter the user code you wish to erase, then "E-Digital".
