How do I enroll a wireless motion detector?Last Updated: 11/19/2013 |

Wireless motion detectors For the LYNX Touch L5100... Go to the install programming menu and access "zone" programming. Assign the detector to a zone number. Find the device's serial number (look for the sticker on the detector) and enter it into the serial number field. Choose Loop #1 and type in optional zone descriptors. Under device type, program it as a "Motion Sensor". For "Response Type", choose "interior delay" or "interior follower". Interior delay causes the alarm to go off after the delay timer runs out. Interior follower goes off immediately if no other sensor is triggered. If another sensor is tripped first, the interior follower will trigger an alarm after the previous sensor's alarm subsides. After programming a response type, choose if you want alarm signals sent to central station. The last step is to program the detector with supervision. For Vista 20P or L3000 Security Systems... *56 zone programming must be accessed. An alphanumeric keypad, like the 6160 or 6160RF, is required for the Vista 20P to access these programming sub-menus. Assign the detector a zone number. Select a response type of either "Interior with Delay" or "Interior Follower". Interior delay triggers the alarm after the delay timer runs out. Interior follower triggers an alarm immediately if no other sensor is triggered. If another sensor is tripped first, the interior follower will set off an alarm after the previous sensor's alarm subsides. Enter the report code, and set the device to a "supervised RF" input. Enter the serial number into the field provided. Finally, select Loop #1. Similar Products: Vista 21iP 5800 PIR Residential Motion Detector |
