Armed Stay... is used when you want to arm the system, but also remain inside the house (ex: when sleeping). This setting will activate door/window sensors and glassbreak sensors. Motion detectors will not be activated, as the setting assumes that residents will be moving around throughout the house. However, should a perimeter access point open, the alarm would sound if the disarm code isn't entered. Armed Away... is used when you want to leave the house and arm your security system. Under this setting, all sensors including motion detectors are activated. Should anyone enter the house without entering the disarm code, the alarm would sound. |
