Keep both door leaves active with an Adams Rite 4781 two-point deadlatch. Rather than operating a traditional horizontal-throw latchbolt, these units latch to both the header and threshold, keeping both doors active. There’s no necessity to pin one door with devices such as flush bolts. While 4781 door deadlatches are designed to work with paired out-swinging doors, they also work with single doors. Keep in mind that these models are not a substitute for exit devices. If you’ve got questions about two-point deadlatches, talk to a JMAC support specialist at 516-812-0917.
