UL rated for panic exit hardware, 9827/9927 Surface mounted vertical rod device for all single or double door types. Devices are Grade 1 ANSI A156.3, 2008 compliant. 86 or 161 cutout stock hollow metal door covers. The case of the 9827 device is smooth, while the case of the 9927 device is grooved. Except when the SD (special dogging), SS (signal switch), or WS (Tornado/Hurricane) device options are employed, the surface vertical rod device is non-handed. Vertical rods and latch guards are offered to protect the bottom rod of the exit device from damage by impacts of carts or gurneys passing through doors.
