The UTC 5812-RND is an acoustic glassbreak sensor with round housing and Form A contacts.
The 5812-RND detects the frequency of broken glass in a full, 360 degree coverage pattern up to 25' (7.5m) from the sensor. Patented Pattern Recognition Technology specifically monitors for breaking glass while eliminating false alarms. In fact, independent lab tests revealed that the 5812-RND reduced false alarms by 20% more than industry leading glassbreak sensors.
The 5812-RND can be tested by activating a handheld glassbreak tester at close range. The simple hand clap feature lets users confirm that the 5812-RND is powered up.
