UTC (Formerly GE Security/ESL) 449CST Heat and Smoke Detector


  • Also known as: GES-449CST

    • The UTC-GE-ESL-449 CST is a UL listed, 4-wire, Photoelectric Heat and Smoke Detector with dual fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat sensor conditions as well as an 85dBa sounder.

    The 449 CST has a minimum voltage of 8.5V, a maximum voltage of 33V, and a 40mA alarm current. This detector is self-diagnostic, meaning it continually monitors its own sensitivity and operational status, and provides a visual trouble indication if maintenance is needed.

    The 449 CST is easily cleaned by replacing the proprietary optical chamber. All 449 Series models are designed to reduce false alarms caused by dust, insects, RFI, and external light.

    An integral combination rate-of-rise and fixed 135 degreesF (57 degreesC), 50-foot rated, heat sensor is available with all "T" model detectors.    		Features:
