Securitron PB5 2" Round Pushbutton with Light, Momentary, DPST, Single Gang, Red/Green/Handicap

The Securitron PB5 is a momentary push button with interchangeable 2" red, green, and blue handicap lenses and light-up feature.

The model PB5 is a spring loaded momentary 2 diameter, exit button. This button is mounted on a stainless steel single gang outlet box cover that is 4.5 x 2.75 (114mm x 70mm). It can be used for momentary release of fail-safe or secure electric locks. This device comes with a retro-fit wall mounting device and color coded hookup wires installed.

There are different versions of the PB5, such as the PB5E which is an economy version, which is supplied without a retro-fit wall mounting device and without hookup wire. More varieties are shown in the models section. This exit device is also convertible from DPST to DPDT. The DPDT contacts switch when the button is pressed in and returns when it is released. The contacts are UL listed with 5 AMP capacities. There is also a release hold timer feature for this device. Note: It is recommended that the local building or fire safety authority be consulted prior to using exit buttons for doors. It may require a no special knowledge exit device such as a touch sense bar.

The last type of model is the PB2-LK which is the illumination kit for the PB2E, PB5E and the EEB2 push button series. Upon unpacking the illumination kit, there should be included an LED, a green wire with resistors and a black wire.

The PB5s operating temperature goes from 32 to 110F (0 to 43C) which makes it best suited for indoor use. This switch will be available in momentary action in both illuminated and non-illuminated versions.
