STI 6406 Exit Stopper with Dual Access Control


  • Also known as: SF-6406

    • This version of the Exit Stopper continues to help solve the problems of unauthorized exits and entries of emergency doors with the added feature of operating the Stopper from both sides of the protected door without using alarm delays.

    STI Exit Stopper with Dual Access Control contains an Exit Stopper housing with a DPDT (double pole double throw) key switch to be mounted on one side of a door or wall and a similar looking housing, also with DPDT key switch (without an alarm), for the opposite side of the door or wall. An authorized person with a key can disable the alarm from either side of the door. When disabled, an LED will illuminate and the door can be opened without setting off the alarm. After passing through the door, the alarm can be reset from the opposite side.    		Features:
    • Highly visible "stop sign" design acts as a deterrent.
    • Sounds a powerful 105 dB warning horn when activated, drawing attention in a hurry (95 dB low volume setting can be selected if desired).
    • Virtually indestructible polycarbonate housing.
    • Easy to install.
    • Alarm helps solve the problem of unauthorized exits and entries of emergency doors.
    • Upon installation, user can select whether to use as an alarm or annunciator.
    • Alarm mode can be set to sound for 30 seconds, 3 minutes or indefinitely (unless reset with key supplied or until battery is drained).
    • In annunciation mode, alarm announces door entry/exit with 2 beeps and repeated 5 times.
    • May be programmed for 30-second entry/exit delay or immediate trip.
    • Arming delay allows unit to arm following an authorized exit.
    • Can be operated from both sides of the protected door without using alarm delays.
    • Detects both unauthorized exits and entries.
    • Also available in green housing to comply with newer standards (STI 6406-G).
    • Two 9-VDC alkaline batteries provided.
    • Recommended operating temperature 32F to 113F (0C to 45C).
    • Not for outdoor use.
    • Cover is UV-stabilized.
    • Includes one warning label 16200. This label is often placed on the outside of the door protected by Exit Stopper.
    • Typical working properties of polycarbonate are -40 to 250F (-40 to 121C).
    • Three year guarantee against breakage of polycarbonate in normal use (one year on electro mechanical and electronic components).
