The Von Duprin E996L-06-R/V-US26D-LHR is an electrified breakaway lever trim with a satin chrome finish. The unit is equipped with a 06 lever with left-hand reverse orientation. The E996L electrified lever trim provides remote locking and unlocking. Furnished standard in fail-safe condition, the unit can be field converted to fail secure where allowed.
The E996L Electrified Breakaway lever trim features the revolutionary Breakaway trim design and allows for remote locking and unlocking.
A remote controller can activate the 24VDC solenoid, enabling access control of the entrance. This trim is frequently used to restrict stairwells in high-rise buildings. The device functions as a typical lever trim when electronically unlocked. When electronically locked, the lever seems to be locked, however, the Breakaway lever function activates when more than 35 pounds of torque pressure is applied.
The E996L can be field converted when permitted and is available in standard fail-safe (FS) or fail-secure (FSE) conditions. You can order the trim along with a device, add it to an existing 98/99 series device application, or upgrade an existing 996L Breakaway lever trim with a conversion kit. In cases involving new construction, the E996L trim will require less door preparation.
The E996L is offered with two different functions: blank escutcheon (BE) and cylinder operation for night latch (NL).
The current "E" electric feature on 98/99 series rim devices is replaced by the E996L electrified trim. Consult the factory for specifications.
