Windstorm-Resistant Surface Electric Strike

The HES 9600 is a windstorm-resistant, surface-mounted electric strike designed for rim exit devices with 3/4″ Pullman latchbolts. All components are encased in a slim 3/4″ thick stainless steel housing, eliminating the need for cutting the frame during installation. Simply align the strike on the door frame with the exit device’s latchbolt and fasten it in place for a quick, hassle-free setup. This Grade 1 strike is built to withstand extreme conditions and heavy use, exceeding ANSI Windstorm testing standards for door hardware.

Easy Installation & Adjustment

The 9600 Series simplifies installation with a separate mounting base and decorative cover that make horizontal adjustment easy. Its non-handed design fits left or right-hand doors, and the strike is field-configurable for either fail-secure or fail-safe operation as needed. The unit supports both 12 V and 24 V DC inputs without requiring any special tools or parts. Because it mounts directly on the frame surface (wood or metal), the 9600 requires only minimal prep work, making it ideal for retrofits or new installations where preserving the door frame is important.

High Strength & Reliable Performance

The HES 9600 is built to be the toughest and strongest magnetic strike. This strike provides a holding force of over 2000 lbs static, and can resist significant impact of up to 120 ft-lbs dynamic, which is well beyond any Grade 1 spec. Inside of the strike, the solenoid mechanism is enclosed inside a tamper resistant stainless-steel housing to provide durability and reliability in every environment. With over 1,000,000 cycles of operation tested, the HES 9600 is a high level strike that provides dependability for the busiest entrances and traffic areas. The robust stainless-steel housing provides durability and strength for the 9600 can be used soon robust for both indoors and outdoors.

Optional Monitoring & Warranty

With the optional Latchbolt Monitor (LBM) and Latchbolt Strike Monitor (LBSM) outputs, you can integrate optional real-time door status feedback for access control systems. The 9600 Series is covered by a SecuriCare 5-year no-fault warranty from HES, which may be extended to a 10-year warranty with the addition of an HES SMART Pac III module.
