The Gentex 8240 is a 24VDC, photoelectric smoke detector for industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential use. Featuring Form A/C dry contacts, a three position test switch, and a pulsing LED sensing chamber, the Gentex 8240 is covered by a 24 month warranty from the date of purchase.
This insect-proof, 2.5% sensitivity smoke detector has an LED condition indicator, a quick disconnect wiring harness, and a 5-to-1 signal to noise ratio. The alarm is latching, meaning it must be manually reset to restore a triggered alarm to its normal, standby condition.
