The SafeAir Wireless Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm accurately and reliably alerts residents of potentially dangerous levels of CO in their home, and sends a CO alarm signal to the Simon XT (v1.4 or higher) and CMS. Simon XT also provides detector supervision, by signaling tamper, no signal, low battery, trouble and end-of-life conditions. Featuring the worlds most accurate electrochemical CO sensor, the SafeAir CO alarm uses a sophisticated onboard microprocessor to effectively track CO levels over time.

Easily integrating with the Simon XT v1.4 panel, this unit installs quickly and is an ideal option for retrofit applications. Offering 40% longer service life, the SafeAirs self-diagnostics keep the device operating optimally. The detectors small size allows it to blend inconspicuously with any dcor, with a smooth contoured design that is compatible with a variety of residential environments.

SafeAir features the SafeTest functional test feature for testing with real CO gas, available in small cans. SafeTest fully meets the functional test in NFPA 720, 2009.Maximize your earnings by helping customers make their homes safer and meet new state carbon monoxide detection laws with a wireless carbon monoxide alarm. If your AHJ doesn't currently require CO detectors to be installed in new homes, it's likely just a matter of time. The number of states requiring CO detectors has doubled in the past five years. Meanwhile, the 2009 International Residential Building Code mandates CO detection in all new and remodeled homes.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that each year in the U.S., carbon monoxide claims almost 500 lives, and more than 12,000 people seek medical attention due to poisoning by this colorless, odorless gas. Most, if not all, of these poisonings could be prevented if monitored carbon monoxide alarms were in use.
