The FlexiDome 2X Day/Night camera is the ultimate solution for virtually any indoor or outdoor surveillance application. This vandal-resistant dome camera uses a 1/3-inch, wide dynamic range CCD sensor and incorporates advanced (20-bit) digital signal processing for outstanding picture performance. The 20-bit image processing enhances sensitivity; the 2X-Dynamic extends the dynamic range. This unique combination provides a sharper, more detailed image with outstanding accuracy in color reproduction even under harsh lighting conditions.
The cast-aluminum housing, polycarbonate dome, and hardened inner liner can withstand the equivalent of 55 kg (120 lbs) of force. The enclosure contains the full-featured camera and integral varifocal lens. Ideal for outdoor use, the cameras are protected against water and dust to IP 66 (NEMA4X) standards. The camera enclosure provides the extra protection necessary for applications such as schools, banks, prisons, parking garages, retail and industrial buildings.
Installation is quick and easy, as the camera comes completely assembled and ready to use. Using the proprietary pan/tilt/rotation mechanism, installers can select the exact field of view. Mounting options are numerous, including surface, 4S (USA), wall, corner and suspended ceiling. The compact, sleek design and virtually flush-mount appearance complements any decor.
The FlexiDome 2X camera is an ideal solution for many surveillance applications, even under the most challenging lighting conditions. The day/night feature ensures the highest image quality possible at any time. Depending on the available light the camera will automatically switch from color to monochrome. The Bosch VDN-498V03-21S Day/Night FlexiDome 2x Camera (Surface Mount), equipped with a 1/3" CCD image sensor and a 2.8-10mm (f/1.2) varifocal lens, produces high-quality images with a maximum resolution of 540TVL.
FlexiDome 2x Camera's pan/tilt/rotation mechanism enables you to choose the optimal field of view for enhanced image capturing. The auto black function enhances the visibility of details in mist or fog settings where the scene contrast is not at its maximum range. Backlight correction modifies the video gain to correct exposure while capturing an object in front of a strong light.
Through the video cable, Bilinx technology enables you to alter the camera's settings, monitor its status, and update its firmware from anywhere. The technology leverages the conventional video connection to communicate warning and status messages, so enhancing the overall performance of the camera and decreasing the time required for service/installation. AC and DC operation are supported, and the LineLock and phase adjustment functions are included for AC operation.
The 20-bit image processing technology enables the camera to capture images with a high level of clarity in both highlights and shadows. The camera utilizes an IR cut filter to transition between color and monochrome in response to changes in the surrounding lighting.
Privacy masking can be used to conceal certain aspects of a scene for security purposes. When sufficient light is present, the camera's preset shutter speed captures rapidly moving objects. It supports up to six distinct, pre-programmed operation modes that may be simply toggled via Bilinx or the external alarm input. The camera's tiny, sleek shape and nearly flush-mount appearance make it a great choice for a variety of surveillance applications and allow it to compliment any interior style.
With the camera's built-in video motion detection, you can set a programmable area with a custom threshold. Alarms can be presented as video signals or delivered via Bilinx when motion is detected. When adequate light is available, the default shutter speed lets you to catch fast-moving objects. The SensUp dynamic feature enhances the sensitivity by increasing the CCD's integration time by up to 10 times, which is helpful when using only moonlight for illumination. The FlexiDome 2x Camera incorporates an impact-resistant surface mount for simple installation. |
